Infinity - Kaleido Composition
The video by Massimo Gardone and the music by Francesco Morosini have animated “Infinity”, the installation designed by Vicente Garcia Jimenez for Foscarini (Superstudio Più – 21st – 27th April 2009).“I put together short intense stories to illustrate the magic light objects of the Foscarini world. Each of these presents the subsequent protagonist, like a sort of infinite merry-go-round... 2D images, like Chinese shadows, take us back to the magnificent tales of Luzzati and hypnotise us in the kaleidoscopic whirlwind.” (Massimo Gardone).Francesco Morosini’s music interpreted by the pianist Orietta Fossati, would like to pay tribute to apparently different worlds that – skilfully mixed together – produce a sound that ranges from the combination of jazz, hip hop, rock and soul elements of Massive Attack, to the minimalism of Michael Nyman in “The Piano”; different worlds that lead us from the sounds of the piano, to the folkloristic strings of Alexander Balanescu, and the sophisticated electronics of Alva Noto and Ryuichi Sakamoto.
